can anyone recommend a cottage\cabin in the UK in Feb

Found 28th Dec 2010

Looking for some sort of self catering cottage or cabin in the uk.

4 nights Mon-Thur seems to be the norm for midweek

I'm east mids so the closer to that the better but happy to drive for a couple of hours if need be.

We have a 3yr old and a 6 month old so 2 bedrooms is a must.

a decent amount of indoor space as it's likely to be rubbish weather in feb

Not really fussed about much else but hoping to get something between £200-£300

would be nice if it was a private one not something like centre parks but I'm just looking for some inspiration at the mo

We've stayed at one in the lakes twice called mirefoot cottages which was good but don't really want to go back to the same place 3 times in a row!

Hi, I usually go to here for a break its beautiful.

They are log cabins situated on the outskirts of york, near to a retail park. But they are in there own little forest so you wouldnt believe you were close to anything! Hope this helps.
hi i have been here but might be to faraway from you?…tml
nice one thanks - both of those are a 2hr drive from me which is fine, I just didn't want to be doing a 3-4hr drive just for 3 or 4 nights - I'm gonna hand over the laptop to the GF to see what she thinks.
