u,ll need winrar to unpack ur downloads

    mumbojumbo

7-zip is a good free alternative for … 7-zip is a good free alternative for unpacking:http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

definetly, ive always used winrar, suppose its always gonna be a matter of preference

I dunno about movies and all, but I use utorrent to download the free open source software I love.

dont forget you,ll need a media player to play ur films mainly,as wmp dosent support all codecs, personally i use vlc.

    Cheers for recommendations .

i have rewarded each of your generous souls with a Like

The speed of the downloader depends entirely upon if your ports are open, the speed of your line, and the number of seeds/peers - the actual software is pretty much universal...

If you can't be bothered with messing around with media players then try out vuze (use on netbook I have) - but if you want a streamlined client I can, as would many others, recommend uTorrent.

    Hope this helps!

    And PeerGuardian http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/

You do know that PeerGuardian does not work as is false ?

I think the OP meant PEERBLOCK, as PG hasn't been working for quite some time!

    Doh!

    You bunch of criminals!

Gonna agree with utorrent, tho speed obvious depends on the seeders for the torrent in question and your connection speed (also if your isp throttles torrent bandwith)

    - Legal material is freely available in torrent form. Check out mininova - all free material.

    *looks innocent*

Peerblock - it's ok, but don't expect it to a safeguard from prosecution if you are indulging in illegal downloading, because it cannot and will not be 100% effective. There's no way to guarantee that. For more torrent info you could try looking at the torrent freak site.

How can even Peerblock tell what IP is the Copyright police & who is not :-/

But the OP wasnt about "free material"...

OP just to say Isohunt has so many viruses on it it not worth downloading from.
Piratebay is good & more clean but also has a few viruses. You should try Demonoid where if a virus is found the up-loader gets banned.

    is warez-BB ok?

if you want fast download (depending on your b/b) then newsgroups is the way.
but if you insist on torrents then see if someone can give you an invite to a private torrent site like iptorrents, where you have to have a good d/l to u/l ratio.
