Can anyone recommend a good touchscreen phone or smartphone?

Can anyone recommend a good touchscreen mobile phone which is not that expensive?
I'm planning on buying a new phone since my omnia II is a defective one and i've asked samsung for a refund. can you guys recommend a good phone that is not that expensive?
The main feature that i need in a phone is that it should have a WiFi. Thanks for your help.

    Cheers!!!

bit of a dumb comment to say that the iphone is rubbish, when it evidently isnt. But obviously its one of the most expensive touchscreen phones

the Samsung 3650 / Corby is good!

However, no 3g or wifi built in. But will only set you back about £80. But im sure there is a wifi version. Corby Pro i think!

    The iPhone isn't rubbish:roll:

The Hero is a nice phone, feels a bit cheap but has some great features.

In a couple of months the Hero should be dirt cheap so if you can wait a bit, it's a decent choice.

i honestly don't like iphone.. i mean i already have ipod touch and quite honestly the only difference it has with iphone is the phone capabilities.. so im off the iphone hype.. HTC run with winmo right? im not sure if im going back to winmo because i had a lot of problems with it with my omnia II..

im thinking of samsung jet or nokia e72.. any ideas which is better? im still looking for other models..

think htc runs android same as the pulse

I dont have first hand knowledge of samsungs etc, but I know the difference between nokia and apple iPhone. . . .

    Its all in the software

Nokia software, install, crash, update, crash, get it working, crash, update, crash, install other components etc, crash, working, working, crash reboot phone etc etc.

    iTunes

    Works.

iPhone is the best at the moment, there is a reason why it is the most popular, and the 3G is not too expensive.

I had one of them for a few weeks, felt like a few years. Worst phone I've ever owned. It didn't let me know I had received texts, was slow and the swish touch interface was purely a veneer.

I know the more recent HTC phones are a million times better than that one.

i guess you guys have a point.. it's all in the software.. i'm really having thoughts in buying an iPhone. is it really that good? all i have is an ipod touch so i can't really make a comparison.

The iphone is basically an ipod touch with added 3g, phone/text, gps and a camera. But the interface is exactly the same.

While certainly not the best equipped phone out there, the iphone seems to be the easiest and most popular phone as it does what people want it to do with little fuss.

While iphone owners get a lot of stick for whipping out their phones to show anyone they can how good it is, I find it's owners of other phones that seem to be the worst. Bragging about how good the camera is (compared to the iphone) and how it can do this and that.

People should just realise that if the phone suits you, then surely that's your best option, No matter what make or model it is. There are loads of sites that allow you to compare the features of different phones, you should try them and go for the phone that best suits your requirements.
