lol thanks for your helpful input owlass

best to ask on freecycle as he is a little big to get much time from it unless you are really strong!!

There is a very good one.......all feathery white and soft to the touch......its called a Stork
but i think its for newborns only..................

If your son is already 10 months - I wouldn't get one.....the weight will soon make it uncomfortable.

We had a Baby Bjorn one. It was okay but not as useful or as easy as you think. Took us about 10 mins to get the baby in and out, longer if you have to re-adjust the straps if you someone else uses the carrier (eg you're swapping between parents). I think they are probably more useful under 6 months...

we got one for grandson for a recent hols-he was in it 5 minutes and not happy-i think cos we had let him get tp 11 months before trying it. Thats why i suggested freecycle...or can you borrow and try? failing that go to mothercare if you have a local one? you can try them on? this looks the best

and the baby didnt seem too happy!

must say it looks brilliant for older babies!!!

I used a littlelife from urchin - back carrier and it was fab! However, I have only managed to carry any of mine on my back to approx 20 months, as they are so heavy it kills your back! and after my 4th I managed to prolapse a disc after walking on the moors for several hours with her on my back so I sold it! Try an NCT sale there are usually a few on sale.

i would not put a newborn on my back, purely because its not convienient to breastfeed and i like to keep checking the breathing etc. but, once you get the hang of putting toddler on back, its simple. my little one loves going in her sling, and when babe arrives we will put little one in the sling mostly, obv at front. definatley my best buy.

looks very natural and i think fab! too late for me sadly:oops:
will show my daughter tho as baby number 3 is due soon:thumbsup:
Tabatha looks real cute too! Thanks for sharing!

they more comfortabel for the carrier too, as you can spread the weight across shoulders. plus lots of different ways to tie it so you get the perfect one for you. i do mine across chest so that dont tie round my bump obv.

this was first time he ever carried her and we walked 4miles with her on his back. she was about 21months (she's quite big too) and he works in an office, weights 9 and half stone and only 5ft7 so hardly like he's a big strong man.
