Can anyone recommend Wii games for a 5 year old girl please?

We got a Wii for Christmas & have Wii Sports, Wii Play, Carnival Games & Mario Kart ... and my little girl will only play bowling and about 2 of the carnival games (my son is loving all of them, but I feel that the shared pressie isn't really being shared equally)! Can anyone recommend a game that she will love?

I wondered about karaoke or a dancing type one, but she's not in to High School Musical & that's about the only one I can find... thanks in advance for your help.

they both love it, i know it was little guys pressie but he prefers to play on it with sister than alone, he likes the wii sports and wii lay, also likes the mario kart and soinc at the olympics, maybe if her friend has games she could borrow them to see if she likes them as they are so expensive to buy if they dont like them

Thanks - just looked up Boogie online - is it quite grown up though? have you played it & would it be suitable for a 5yr old? They are so expensive that don't want to buy one & then find it's no good ... don't realy want to spend out for the fit board yet as cleared out after wii, controllers, chargers etc!

the hand controls are pretty hard on the wii till they get used to it, i also think its harder to get into the games than it is on say the ds, so its just practise, my son loves it but i wouldnt say he got into it like he did the ds

She does get really frustrated with some of the games cos she can't make the right movements which of course her older brother can do easily ... don't think this has helped either ... oh dear, maybe I should have got her ds instead ...

thankfully daughter is 15 so plays with him on it, and he also gets frustrated and makes her do what he cant - lol

He had his ds last year and was never off it, just before he had the wii he really got inot books so wasnt spending alot of time on the ds cause he was doing alot of reading and still is really, although he was well chuffed with the wii like i say i wouldnt say he plays on it as much, and also the ds you can get a card to download games so no expensive game they wont like, although this is illegal like :whistling:

my 5 yr old and my 10 yr old had a wii for xmas, they love it and had numerous games (the ones you mentioned included) but i felt my dd didnt have any girly games so i got her dora the explorer (dora saves the snow princess) which she loves and is easy to use the controllers for this.

your welcome, and good luck finding games, I always check here for prices find-games.co.uk/

Dog Island, my friends girl has this and loves it!

We've got the Boogie Superstar and I think it will be a bit beyond a 5yr old, although she may be able to do the dancing. What about the Disney Princess game? My girls are 3 & 7 and whilst the 3yr old just aimlessly follows her sister (princess) around, she loved customising her princess at the start to look like her and feels as though she's playing (bit of a platform game). It's very pretty, we've had it for about a year and the eldest could play it straight away so should be OK for your 5yr old.

Another good one that's usually quite cheap, is Cranium Kadooki which is like the Cranium Cadoo board games and is lots of fun. Have to admit that our 3yr old (almost 4) plays the same games as you've mentioned for your 3yr old, plus a few things on Mario Olympics and a couple (by default) on the Wii Fit.

My Sims and My Sims kingdom are excellent. In My Sims they build houses and do tasks. In My Sims Kingdom they have to collect objects to complete scrolls. My 17 year old daughter even enjoyed them!:)

wall-e only 9.99£ aswell in game currently

Thanks for the Boogie Superstar info - I thought it looked a bit complicated so good to know that it would be! I have actually just ordered the Disney Princess game (!)- I found it last night when looking at the Dora one that someone else recommended and my daughter prefers princesses so have gone for that one. At least it will be one that her brother won't be tempted to try as it looks REALLY girly! Thanks for your help
