Can anyone see any problems with this ?

    Roulette System

    1) Select a coloured square without a number on it i.e. red or black. It doesnt matter which. For the purpose of this explanation lets say you choose Red.
    2) Place the smallest bet the table will allow (normally £1) on red.
    3) If the ball lands on Black double your bet to £2, keeping your money on Red.
    4) Double your bet each time you lose, i.e. £1, £2, £4 until the ball lands back on Red.
    5) When it lands on red start again with £1 back on red

Everytime you get the colour correct you win £1, ive been trying it on play money casinos, ive been winning £30-£40 in half an hour.

What i was thinking as long as you have money to back yourself up is there anything that could go wrong ?

how likey is it to get like 10-11 of the same colour in a row meaning you have to put £256-£512 but apart from that i dont see anyproblems ??

i did a system where by i bet on a third of the board and doubled up everytime i lost, then when i won i started from £1 again. it worked ace for a week winning £900 in about 6-7 hours over a few days untill i lost £1k in an hour !! U CANT BEAT THE SYSTEM

in theory the previous outcome has ZERO effect on the current one !!

Every time they spin the wheel, red has a slightly less than 50/50 chance of turning up.
Don't forget there is a green lose place also.
So even if black comes up 100 times on the trot, the next spin still produces slightly less than 50/50 chance of red coming in.
If this was sure fire, then casinos would be bankrupt and Joe public would all be millionaires.

    P.S. I had to double check this wasn't a Levis24 thread. :w00t:

This has to be a wind up! :whistling:

This is known as the Martingale betting system, there's a fairly good read on it here:

I've often thought about this myself. I think that if you're happy to win 'small' it seems difficult to lose, providing you have the back-up money. I know people will say it's perfectly possible for it to land on black 50 times, but it just doesn't seem likely does it?

there's only one winner in these things

Is it the Burger king guy (he is creepy)

The thing to remember is that you could, in theory hit red forever.

In other words, your odds do not change after every roll/spin.

I've seen a seventeen red sequence, and I've been in casinos less than a dozen times.

    exactly.

every "system" still relies on luck

dont do it on a table in a casino as its a recognsed 'play' and the casinos dont like it - you will be asked to leave. Online its fine but remember that each game already has a predetermined outcome - its the selection of the game that is random!

I've done this and the majority of times it has worked. However it hasn't always worked and for the times it hasn't it has been VERY costly. I've seen the same colour come up 10+ times and I'm not even a regular gambler (I just do the occasional Quidco casino 100% match deposit incentive).

EDIT: Just read this from that link:

"If you start with $5 and lose thirteen bets in a row (it happens), … "If you start with $5 and lose thirteen bets in a row (it happens), you'll have to cough up $40,960 for your next bet. Ouch."

and I thought I lost big!
