Nespresso machines don't have milk pods and you have to purchase the "official" coffee direct from the company or one of their "very few" outlets. Seems like false economy to switch if its only the milk pods that are an issue.

I belive the patent has run out for the pods and they are starting to be come more available from 3rd parties.

I buy direct from Nespresso and the quality of the coffee is very good, prices range but 10 capsules cost about £3
Dualt do some, which can be bought in costco and maybe other places. I use this when mixing the coffee with milk.
Amazon sell Carte Noire No.6 - here which I have just bought, but yet to try.

There are a number of 3rd party suppliers too, some can be picked up in TK Maxx, but I havnt tried.

I love my machine and don't find a problem buying from them, I usually buy a bulk lot from their regent street store or Selfdriges in B'ham. I also bought some in Macy's NY and they were about 30p a pack cheaper

At the moment, they come with £75 worth of credit, which is a lot of coffee!

Haha, I really like mine (pixie), but I am actually trying to get one of the discounted Lattissima models as I want the integrated milk. but I am struggling to get one ordered, especially with the £75 credit.

If you enjoy just coffee its a brilliant device, if you want hot chocolate etc, id looks at other brands. Saying that, by adding decent quality hot chocolate to the milk in my areochino, you got a lovely frothy milky hot chocolate.

I thought the same thing about the milk pods

So I bought a dualit milk frother from costco when it was on offer at about £30.00 (amazon link added just to show the product)

amazon.co.uk/Dua…UDG

it made the world of difference, I could make the coffees how I liked them, with proper milk & without the after taste,

Good idea.x

Lidl now do compatible pods at £1.79 for 10.

Bought a box, 10 strength espresso and it was perfectly fine.

We have a senseo machine which is quite a cheap coffee machine compared to the nespresso. I quite like the senseo as you add your own milk to taste. Nice cuppa!
