Can external hardrive for Mac work with PC

Found 4th Dec 2009
Hi, my gf got herself an external hardrive (one like this ->‌ okobe.co.uk/ws/…4bs )

She didnt know its for Mac, she has already oppened it so the shop wont refound or exchange it.

Is it easy to format it so it can be used as normal external for PC (she wants to store some data from her PC on it on use it on her laptop - both run windows)

Just format it like a normal drive...

yup, when you connect it to the windows machine, it probably won't show it up in my computer. but5 you right click on the my computer icon on the desktop and choose manage, go down to disk management and you should be able to see the drive there, it'll say that the partion is unrecognised right click that you you should be able to format it as NTFS.

which shop was it, just so i know not to go there?

[FONT=Verdana]It will be fine, as it comes with both USB and Firewire ports (took a look at the technical specifications for you, on the link provided) but also previous contracting colleagues I've worked with over the years have used them without any problems.

The only stumbling block would be if the computer didn't have a Firewire Card in it - even then there were cheap deals on the go last time I looked.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!
