Can I ask a slightly odd question? About 3D glasses and only being able to see with one-eye?

Supposed to be going to Vue cinema tonight to see Final Destination 3D.

I am worried that it won't work for me as my left eye has very blurry vision. I was told that it is a 'lazy' eye, though my eyes look perfectly fine to someone else, I don't have that thing where both eyes looks in different directions.

Anyway, I have never known why different and so it doesn't really bother me, but don't know if the 3D effect depends on me being able to use both eyes?

Really looking forward to the film but when we have watched 4D movies at Legoland it didn't do anything for me - with the glasses off it looked like 2 pictures and with them on it looked normal, I certainly didn't think anything was coming out at me :-(

Do they give those red/blue lense glasses or are they like shades (both lenses are the same) these days?

Can anyone with a similar problem please share their experience?
    Thank you

    Ohh, really? In Vue? :-(

all of the recent 3D films I have seen have been the shade type glasses...however Im not sure about the one eye thing....I would guess it would still work as the lenses both seem to be the same...not sure though

stereoscopic imagry is based upon mathmatics equition regarding antropometic data (90% of the population being "average") if you have a lazy eye or one eye where you need a corrective lense then you wont get the full 3D effect.

Last time I went to see Caroline 3D in a VUE cinema it was the shade glasses.

I would guess that with the Blue/RED ones it might not work, but with the other ones you should be fine.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Yes I was diagnosed when I was young but unfortunately no-one bothered to get it sorted.
By the time I was old enough to chase it myself I was told it was too - can't do anything for it now

no it's past that stage - nothing to do now

i got a lazy eye too lol. However not as bad as yours by the looks of it. I can watch 3d/4d movies and if u dont wear glasses already, wear em it will help ur vision.

Maybe I should try another optician and see what they say cos the one I went to last year said there was nothing they could do

I just see really blurry. I can identify objects and not crash into things with that eye but it is totally impossible to read with it, even huge letters

All I can say with that, is that your likely going to give yourself a headache and cause your eye to strain more then likely. I know when I have forgotten my glasses/contacts going to the cinema, its given me serious headaches trying to keep up with the image. And My eyes are only slightly out.

I think you should seek specialist advise with regards to your vision, or alternative.

You mean optician? Or is there somewhere else I can try?
I looked up those corrective vision operation companies but they couldn't help

No, like I said it doesn't bother me at all - unless I need to scratch my right eye then I can't see well for a couple of seconds :-D

Well, went to see it (nearly didnt after reading the reviews) and could see it fine but no 3D for me at all, saw other people in the cinema jumping here and there.

Wouldn't really recommend anyone bothering to see it, unless you just want to see random people dying in even more random ways
