Can I cancel O2 IPHONE 4 36 month Contract without penalty because VAT rise is a price rise?

I have signed a 36 month iphone4 contract and want to get out as fancy getting the iphone5.

Do you think the up coming vat rise will give me a good get out clause?

Not a hope. The network hasn't uped the price the government has.

If you read the T&C's you'll that vat is excluded.

Agreed. it's a tax increase not a price rise.

yes.... if they refuse, hit camilla with a stick out of protest.

I'm utterly shocked that the OP hasn't been more ridiculed for thinking that the VAT increase, which had been announced long before the OP signed their contract, would be grounds for cancelling a contract!!!!
