Can i keep my existing orange pay as you go number when upgrading to orange sim only?

I have googled it and apparently i can not keep my number if i order online (which i want to becuase of quidco)

Note: But if i order instore or over the phone then i can transfer my old number onto the new sim (like i said, which i dont want to do becuase of quidco)

Is ordering online and then porting my existing pay as you go number to another network and then porting it back to my new sim only orange number, the only way?

google seems to think its the only way and ofcourse it is a very long method, so any advice much appreciated.

Thanks

I believe you are correct in that you can only port a number between two different carriers. So it is not possible to port a number from Orange to Orange, but should be possible from Orange to Vodafone to Orange again, although I question if this is practical.

You will be able to keep your number. Just phone up customer services when you receive your new sim card and they will sort it.

Yup, i ported my Orange PAYG number onto an Orange contract

With the online thing, maybe wait till the SIM is delivered, and quidco tracked, then ring them up

Hello

Yes you can, what you need to do order the sim, then customer customer services a ring. They will change your old sim to the new sim.
