    Can i return it ?

I recently purchased a mini fridge for my fishing bait however ive only just realised that it does not have a mini freezer like my old one so its of no use to myself.
I purchased it from a local store sort of like a second hand store but a charity shop if you understand.
What are my rights if i wish to return it within 7 days not faulty ?

    Thanks

Consumers have no 'right' to return a product within 7days just because they changed their minds.

It is up to the shop if they will accept the return for example Marks & Sparks have a no quibble returns policy but that is above and beyond the requirements of the law

Can I Return Something Because I've Changed My Mind?

[SIZE="5"]Unfortunately, there’s not much that you can do.

The Sale and Supply of Goods Act states that a retailer has a duty to provide you with goods that are of a satisfactory quality. They must also fit any description that’s made of them. So, if for example, you had taken the curtains out of their packaging and found that they had a great big hole in them, you would have every right to return to the shop and ask for a refund as they clearly weren’t of satisfactory quality. So as said above. Its down to the shop if they will refund.

i buy from charity shops and they always say they are happy to refund with a reciept, but you'd have to ask.

If they aren't understanding, i would break it and return it as faulty....

I mean, the customer always takes it up the tailpipe, if for example it WERE faulty, most customers are understanding and not just demand refunds.. it's a little give and take i feel, and personally, i have given stores the benefit of the doubt on many occasions when i have been entitled to a refund.... so i don't see why they won't if this store is reputable, they should help you out.

surely if u cant get a refund u could sell it on and get back at least most of what uv paid! if i purchased from a charity shop i couldnt bring myself to break it because then all they can do is bin it, its like stealing from charity. i dont see why taking it back would be a problem, if they can just put it up for sale at the same price they arent loosing out, just explain the problem, the worst they can do is say no

You sold any more of your grannies prescription drugs lately, you know the ones she needs to survive.

Well you'd be willing to rip a charity shop off, so its not too far down the slippery slope:x:x:x

I recently picked up a nearly new copy of 'How to win friends and influence people' from my local charity shop.

    You must have missed it.

    How much was it........

Taking back from charity - WOW

You could always take it back and exchange it for something of the same price ! At least then you will not be taking back charity money !

Alrite guys chill, clearly didn't realise it was a charity shop..... surely you could see that from what i wrote, i sort of glanced over the text and read local store... it was late, i did not once refer to it as a charity shop...

Besides, if this is the case, it's ok for the Op to be trying to get back money given to charity? but not for me to suggest something like this?

some self righteous morons in here....

So what was all the spiel about the sale of goods act in your first reply??? So, it is a charity shop, and you were going to suggest to recite the sale of goods act to them if he could return it, and that is ok??

Or........you missed that it was a charity shop first time too?:-D
