Can I take sultanas on a longhaul flight?

I know that's a really, really bizarre question but my Dad lives in the Philippines and apparently can't get hold of sultanas and has asked me to take some with me along with tetley teabags. Do you think I'd be allowed to take them in my suitcase or would they be confiscated?

I have a 1kilo bag lol (but then I do have a curiously large mouth lol)

You would have to check the import restrictions of foodstuffs into the Phillipines. They should have some information on their travel website, if one exists, but be aware that taking them without checking their approval status may result in you receiving a fine and confiscation of the items upon entering the country. Best thing to do is to call the embassy here and get clarity on it first before travelling.
