Can i upgrade from i3-2310m to i7-3630QM ?

Well basically i have Acer aspire 4830t which has i3 2310m and would like to upgrade it to a i7-3630QM however im not sure they are compatible

You've just answered your own question.... congratulations!!
I would only ever upgrade a laptop to something which it was originally available to order with. So if you bought it with the i3-2310m in but you could have originally ordered it with a i7-3630qm then go for it, but if not the original cooling system you have might not be able to cope.

Not quite. The YouTube link was for i5 to i 7 not i3 to i7 so OP question still stands
I don't think it can the chipset is different , the i3-2310m uses sandybridge hm65 , and the i7-3630qm uses ivy bridge
Take a look a the first numbers after the model, i3 and i7. One is a 2 and one is a 3. Totally different sockets. The same as the Haswells have a number 4, again totally different socket.

As bam3411 has stated, you will need to find a Sandy Bridge Core i7, one startting with a number 2 after i7.
