Can I use Orange, T-Mobile and Virgin Sim Cards in an EE Sim-Locked Phone?

T-Mobile - Yes
Orange - Yes
All other networks that run on EE / Orange / T-Mobile yes....

but this is only true for most phones, as some phones sim lock methods differ.

I have used a T-Mobile in a Orange (EE) locked iPhone 4s so it works with them two.

Just tested this as ive got a locked orange EE Iphone 4s and the vigin sim worked in it no probs...

it comes up with the carrier T mobile, saved me unlocking the phone so all good...

but ive also so heard this could be phone specific so its a case of trial and error, you can order a free micro sim off the virgin website and try it in your phone before committing to a contract, worked for me :0)

There's two types of EE iPhone 5 - Orange/EE, and T Mobile/EE. I confirmed this by speaking to an assistant in the EE store, the stock is kept completely apart!

So I bought an EE iphone 5 from Smartfonestore, and luck had it that it was an ex T mobile one. This meant that my Virgin nano sim worked. However, had it been an ex Orange one, it wouldn't have worked. I returned it anyway as I wanted it to be unlocked (for taking abroad using foreign sims). Swapped it for a Vodafone one, and paid the £20 unlocking fee.

As far as I know, T mobile/EE only help you unlock the phone if you're the original purchaser of the phone (ridiculous policy, Xbox One springs to mind).

i have a talk mobile sim for my blackberry but it is broken and it cant be repaired it and my contact hasnt ended so i want to buy an iphone off ebay and lots of them are with ee so would my sim work in an iphone already with ee??

No. Talk Mobile ride the Vodafone network which are not part of EE. Search for phones which use the Vodafone network and it should work in any of those. Don't forget you might need your SIM card resized depending on the model of iPhone you choose.

Ok so can a EE sim, or tmobile or orange, work in virgin locked phones?
