Well like a wally when I wanted to buy a foreign streaming account I added money to what I thought was my Google Pay account.
It turns out it was my Google Play account.
I was not reading things correctly I just wanted to hurry up.
So now I have £66 in my Google Play account, is there a way of getting it back into my bank account.
I have asked Google and they say no?

Yes you have to transfer it to the Google pay app first but it can be done.
How do I transfer Google Play money to my bank account?Go to the Google Play app.You will see a Payment button at the bottom, click on it.Under the ‘Google Play balance’, click on cash out.Thereafter, enter the amount you want to transfer. After that, confirm the payment method. Then finally click on Transfer.
It's a statement, sorry for not making myself clear.
Google themselves will not credit me, so I wondered if there was another way?
Or is my grandson getting all the addons he wants for his apps.
I also did not think it was possible and unfortunately these instructions do not seem to make a lot of sense I'm afraid.
There is no 'Google Play' app, only the website, and I can see no 'Payment button' at the bottom?
If he was to buy movies/music/books with it he can set you up in family group so you can share.
Just a thought.
I mistakenly added the money so that I could pay for a streaming service and it said I could not use it as it was not in the UK.
This is why I added more to pay for Nordvpn as it was from the UK, when it said I could not use it that's when the penny dropped and I realised I had messed up.
I will not take it the wrong way, I have been scrolling through all sorts of things on google even some dodgy apps from India which charge you a %, so no thanks to that.
I do not have an option of google balance transfer, so I've added a bank account, but I need to wait until a transaction shows up before I can verify it.
I was just wondering if others had any experience of doing it.
There are a lot of reference in that page to US banks and so on.
It's possible that differences might exist between countries - and even devices. For example, iirc, Google Rewards can only be used to pay for Google services/app/media purchase from an Android device, but (again iirc) on iPhones they can be converted to real money.
Ahh I see thanks.
Looks like the grandson will get some money for his apps, LOL
