It's well explained on their own site and forums

giffgaff sim ????????? never heard of it!!!!!!! oO

If you get Someone like say me wink wink to recommend you you get fiver credit for free lol

Ive just switched to giffgaff. You first of all top up with credit. This will allow you to send SMS at 4p and calls 8p/min - both to any network and give unlimited data until 28th Feb. You can then spend your credit on a goody bag to get inclusive txt/mins/data. Basically, if your going to use your phone very little in a month you can just use credit, otherwise you can buy a goody bag. They use the O2 network so no worrying about coverage. I will start using goody bags from March onwards (to get unlimited data) once the offer expires for unlimited data on credit. As an example, if you top up £15 credit then use £2 by making calls, then buy a £10 goody bag, you will be left with £3 credit and have all the benefits of the goodybag for one month. Inclusive SMS on O2 should be cross-network. That is how my £35 iPhone contract worked. Hope this helps.

Also, just had a text message from GiffGaff - International calls (landline) and texts just 8p each to the following places:

    - Any EU country
    - Australia
    - New Zealand
    - Pakistan
    - India

I've been on Giffgaff now for over 6 months and it has saved me a small fortune.

You get £5 Free credit added to your first Top-up (Minimom £10) If you request a SIM card from another Giffgaff Customer.

    ;).
