can you freeze fresh sandwich meat?

Was at tesco other day and they were marking down 90% off sarnie meat. was £5 now 50p etc...a woman told me it was okay to freeze so i bought loads and shucked it in freezer.
b4 i poision myself i would like to know if this woman was fibbing or is it okay o defrost and eat?

should say something like

freeze on day of purchase
consume within...............days/months etc

you will be fine

should be absolutley fine as it should even have preservative in it. Defrost in the fridge tho, and use in a day or two.

well as i work on meat and fish counters at morrisons and they say its fine to freeze should be a problem as long as tesco is fresh ?

yeah fresh from deli counter mate bought on 6th jan went off on 8th but frozen on 6th
