Yes. It takes a while to thaw out though!

    Yes you can!

As above, I do this all the time to save me nipping to the shop for some milk and spending £20 while I'm there!! Saves me a fortune.

When it's fully defrosted, make sure you give it a really good shake to mix it together properly though as it can sometimes defrost with the cream content at the bottom, a good shake soon sorts it out.

Yep, but when you defrost it usually takes ages...

Yep, no problem with freezing milk!

Don't listen to them all - you CANNOT freeze milk. Incidentally, there is an urban myth doing the rounds that claims you can freeze water!

Sheesh, the things some people believe on the internet...

It's a good OP question. Some things separate out when they are frozen!!

You can also thaw in a bowl of water in the sink.

    MY ASS DIDDNT

I rarely drink milk so buy it and freeze it in ice cube trays for when people pop in for a cuppa, that way I don't waste it.

    Always buy organic though!!

    No Its My Ass

Yes, you can freeze semi-skimmed and skimmed milk, but whole milk tends to separate when thawed out.

Hahaha - Oh yes, you said.:whistling:
    Silly me.:-D

Don't freeze milk if it comes in a glass bottle. Plastic ones are fine. We get milk delivered and we have had milk freeze outside in the winter - it is fine if the bottle doesn't break but quite often the bottom of the glass bottle shears off, which isn't good!

Nobody said it wasn't, chesso. Rather presumptuous of you actually :whistling:

Really? Didn't think people would go to those lengths, but seems a good idea. I think. Or maybe not.

Not too long if you want it to stay alive!!

Sensible answer - ages, years. If you buy a frozen one it will say and they put on a time that is far short of how long it will keep in reality.

I freeze both semi-skimmed and full fat but like I said, when fully thawed you need to give botha good shake to mix the milk back in with the cream and it's then gine, good to go.
