I don't think you can get flashed for going too slow or they would be flashing street cleaners all day long.

May have been faulty camera. But can get fined for driving too slowly, but not by speed camera. Also, going just over 25mph in a 30 zone wouldnt be considered slow really.

No he wont get fined if he was doing 25mph

No, the camera will have been flashing at someone on the other side of the road. If for some reason he gets a letter ask for a pic and that will show its picked his van up by mistake.

If your driving so slow its a danger to others then you may get fined or talked to if the police see you. Definitely not a camera, and 25mph is hardly slow in a 30 zone

yes he'll get fined, in 30mph zones you HAVE to drive past the speed cameras at EXACTLY 30mph

    not
and if you and him didn't know the answer to this question without posting on an internet forum, you both should really stay off the road

you can get a ticket for driving too slowly on a motoway.

as a conservative guess I would say he will serve 3-5 years

Had a speed camera on the other side of the road flash at me about 4 weeks ago haven't had a ticket or anything, I was actually going above the speed limit so did expect one

I've come across a couple of cameras that flash on the opposite of the road when there weren't any cars in their lane. They flashed twice in quick succession :? I wonder if it's just some kind of "camera reset/test" they record without cars in the frame. I'm sure others have noticed them too. Fortunately I was on the otherside within the speed limit.
I'd be very surprised if you're fined for 25mph in 30mph, but if you were doing that on a motorway where limit is 70mph, without good reason, you could be stopped.:whistling:

i.e.: Chiswick Bridge (A316) going towards London, at 40mph speed limit.

Also A243, near one of Chessington world of adventure exits 30mph heading towards Kingston Upon Thames.

I know someone who got in trouble for going to slowly.

But, she was driving at under 30mph in a 60mph road at night!! But, the police only pulled her over and had a word. No fine or points! Think they were just concerned that at that speed someone might have gone smashing into the back of her.

I can't imagine for one moment that a camera would do you for that. Especially one that you are facing!

maybe the camera is in a 20mph zone, in which case, enjoy your ticket.

Hmm....maybe he was going 33-35 in a 30 and got flashed.

Just dosen't want to admit he was speeding....or maybe his speedo is kaput?

The cameras do a calibration flash/test every so often throughout the day to ensure they are active, and recording the correct time etc. I had the misfortune of walking towards a camera when the damn thing went off, no cars in sight, almost blinded me.

Motorbikes don't have front number plates, so why would they setup a camera to take a picture of the front of a vehicle? On motorways they use different cameras which don't flash, but can record your facial image, front and rear plates.

Oh and in some towns they have the forward facing like yellow cctv cameras, but these don't flash either.

They probably pulled her over incase she had been drinking , driving slow (being extra cautious) is often what a drunk driver will do to make sure they dont have an accident

I do this for a laugh sometimes, deliberately go past a camera on the other side of the road fast to make it flash....

Take it from me, its a no
