Hi,

So I'm looking at buying a new build within the next two days, I already have an SSD and HDD.

I'll be using the PC mainly to do graphic design and play games like PUBG and DayZ.

My max spend is £1500

Thanks

Seems like massive overkill for what you're using it for!

It's mainly to future proof my rig too. Wanna go a little overkill so I'm not having to buynew parts in the next year or two.
best thing you can do is wait for black friday
I would go pay the extra for an i7 8700k instead for the extra cores if you want to future proof.
Upgrade CPU for an 8600k (+£10, gain around 40% CPU power)
Swap mobo for one with less obnoxious 'gamer' branding & gimmicks (-£70, possibly some minor feature losses, like wifi)
Downgrade HS&F to something less elaborate like a Hyper 212 (-£40, maybe 100MHz less of an overclock)
Upgrade 1080 to 1080ti (+£200, gain about 30% extra fps)

1/3rd more power, or more, for only £100 extra.
Ryzen would be more future proof as AM4 will get support up until 2020 whilst Intel will abandon this socket in less than 2 years leaving no upgrade path
