Can you tether an iPod Touch to a mobile to surf?

Bit of a long shot, but. You used to be able to connect a windows mobile pda to a phone (via Bluetooth) and surf on the pda through the phone.

Anyone know if theres anyway to do the same with a ipod touch and a mobile ?

Im getting a new phone (Nokia N86) which has a better camera than any iPhone at the moment but I really like the Apple op system and thought this would be a way of getting the best of both. . .

I think you can make a wifi access point out of symbian phones.

Humm, would that work? Wifi from the ipod to the phone and use the phone to connect out ?

Try ]JoikuSpot. The basic version is free, be warned as it has no security features so you might get leeched on a train journey etc.

You can upgrade, no idea of the cost.

Works fine on my Nokia 5800/iPod Touch combo. Sufings fine, internet radio works well when you have excellent reception(I'm on o2), NO Youtube unfortunately.

Just watch your fone's battery life.

That looks just the thing. Thanks...

Nice to see you can do this. Tes, I can see the phone battery vanishing at an alarming rate, but if you're on a train you can always plug it. Most trains seats have socket these day...

Haha, yep they sure do. I was on midnight boat to France last Friday and I saw a girl sat against the wall with her iPod plugged into a service socket in a lobby. Leccy thief! Gotta laugh.

Now if there was an App that let you compose a text on the ipod and then send it through the phone. . .
