as title states, would a brand new mobile take a pay as u go sim?

Yes if your phone is unlocked to accept any sim.

on the same network? or the phone is unlocked to all networks? just remove the back and try it. If it asks for a code if it hasnt been changed it will usually be 0000 or 1234.

sorry should clarify, im looking at an 02 contract phone with a free laptop, however im thinking of selling the fone and obviously wouldnt want to sell contract sim w it, wanting to replace with an 02 with an 02 sim

why not just transfer your number to the new contract unless you have a line already

yes its hard but thats not what i am talking about, op is getting a new contract so was thinking op has a pay n go sim and could possibly make that the new contract sim?

hi-just sell the phone and pop the contract sim in the one you use now..if you want to sell the new phone you can get o2 sim at £ shop or sell it as sim free?
