I had called CPW today to cancel my o2 12 month contract which I had taken out in Feb 2006. The CSR offered some deal to stop me from leaving, and when I said I just wanted to cancel the contract, she mentioned that, contract cancellation can only done in writing, and cannot be done on phone or email. Also,I will have to give a months notice as well. She mentioned it was stated in terms and conditions as well. Is this true? Has anyone cancelled any contracts with o2/CPW and if you did, did you do it by writing? I think its really unfair to customers to make them go through the hassle of writing a letter and such just to cancel the contract.
