Cannot call or recieve calls with the iPhone on o2?? (Possible other handsets)

If you have no signal on your phone at the moment, but can use 3G internet. There is a nationwide fault all across the UK affecting most users. My 3G S can not send / recieve calls, however my friends can.

They are NOT sure when it will be back up, but are HOPING ASAP.

Kind of annoying really as I was waiting for an important phonecall.

For the last 4 weeks since Ive put V3 firmware on mine and my missus phones, both of us are constantly missing calls and getting "call failed" when dialing out.
