Just got a letter from them saying that my standard 9.4apr rate is being increased to 16.94. this applies to the current outstanding balance & future purchases.

can they do this? or are they breaking terms. ive rung them, but got a drone on the phone reading from a script.

simplest thing is obviously to move to a new CC....

any thoughts/advice?

yes they can and it is a way to get rid of bad payers or people they no longer feel are a good enough profit stream

ie you dont use the card often

im not in the bad payers league, did place a nice lump sum on there last October and have never missed a payment....

apparently you dont have to accept it, well thats what that guy martin says, just tell your not accepting it and see what they say

yeh may try that. im happy to accept it on new purchases just not on the existing balance. think thats fair cop, but like i said u deal with drones & a script plus a further battle of the indian call centre.....
