Can anyone help?

If I do a car check which shows outstanding finance and the seller pays it off, do I need to do a further check to show its paid off before buying?

Anyone know how long it takes to show after paying?

If they say car still has finance why would you check. If they say it's doesn't have finance and you find out it dose. Run a mile. Or am I missing something

......because the check carries a warranty against outstanding finance if its checked before purchase

only one reason not to and that would be to save a few quid so why bother skipping it.
as said if he claims to have paid off and didn't then run a mile but it is important to also make sure you have a decent paper trail, check address ID get a bill of sale with matching details and pay by traceable means like a cheque.
