These people are excellent

The deal is as follows.

You walk through the arrivals, past all the people holding up plaquards to a specified area (I can't rememebr what it's called as I just know where to go).

You hand over your passport and you are given an envelope.

EDIT : INSTRUCTIONS HERE: autosflores.com/ing…htm

Inside the envelope is a key to the car, a ticket for the short term carpark and an exact location of the car.

You will pay about 3 euros for the car park.

The really great thing about his company is the drop off.

All you do is park it in the short term car park and lock the key in the boot with the ticket.

That's it. Just walk away and go to departures [how they locate their car is beyond me - I have offered to telephone/text them location, but they say don't bother]

I use them at least 6 times a year and have done so for the past 4 years.

They speak English and normally supply a Diesel Seat (request the Seat an you should get it.).

Please note that on top of the car hire rate is a charge for half a tank of fuel. Return the car as empty as you dare. This is normal (some say return full).

I can't recommend them enough. Last year there was incredible construction going on at the airport so I just asked for the car to be at the airport 1 hour earlier and I suffered the extra short term carpark charge. This year all is okay.

If you, or anyone else decides to use this company, I am willing to furnish my name if you PM me. I mention this as they certainly do know me there and I would like to think that I do get pref treatment. So maybe a 'name drop' will help you.

In the summer months this system can save an hours queue on arrival and 30 minutes waiting for car inspection on the way back.

I have never had any incident when damage has been blamed to me for something I did not do (this was my worry about just dropping the car off). In fact there is no excess to pay on an accident anyway.

I know this system well so for me 10 mintues after the plane lands I am out of the airport [hand luggage only].

try www.holidayautos.co.uk Ive just booked with them for France, they will also price match on like for like quotes, or as in my case give you a free upgrade as well as a discount.

Kind of irrelevant.... but i got told something the other day!

when you get to the airport instead of picking up your bags first go sort out your car to beat the que! and then once that has sorted there should be less people at the bag pickup area!

Have used them last 2 times and seem pretty reasonable especially as I had a bump last time and apart from a phone call to tell them & a quick form to fill in that was it - no comebacks. Only thing is (like most hire cars) you pay for full tank of fuel at beginning of hire which is extra to your costs.

I use carjet too, quite regularly, and i find they usually allocate an on-site company, underneath the baggage hall is the car rentals desks to pick up the car. I agree with Yimmie, my husband usually gets the cases and I go collect the car, as the queues get huge down there, I think the only company from Malaga we have had that requires the minibus journey is Helle Hollis. The ride is literally 2 minutes as all the car rentals are on the road opposite the airport, and TBH a minibus maybe even better than the queues in the airport rental, as they are usually waiting for you. I think other companies on-site include, Crown Auruga, Europa, Sixt, Hertz etc, but they seem to be more expensive if you go direct to them. I seem to remember a couple of quidco sites that do hire over there too. Have a great holiday!

I have used amigo autos on several occasions as insurance is good with them and cheap - last car was a citroen berlingo for 3 adults and two kids - this car has a huge boot area (will take loads of luggage) and nice high up seats with good visibility cost was about £100 inc full insurance collected from airport - very good service too...
