Dont you hate it? already been cold called from a woman who claims to have known me since last year and wants to get the best deal for me, warm hearted or what? I'm with admiral currently, 3 years driving, only one with no claims (this year) anyone got any tips that might save me pennies?

    thanks in advance

    whats this?

It's a minefield. I, for one, have never had a competetive online quote.
I've always got the best results by sitting down for a couple of hours with the Yellow pages. Less tedious than filling out online forms as well.

Because they bank on you just 'auto renewing'. I bet if you ask them you will get the new customer deal.

i bet if i ask them nicely ill get a better deal

EDIT: GO COMPARE - useless. best prices so far are 800 and 950. there "best price" is 1300

    Try Money Supermarket..

I have renewed with Swift Cover again this time as they are the cheapest..

Tip.. if a new customer gets a better price than your exisitng quote, just ring them up and they should match it..

Check out QUIDCO for CASHBACK and TOPCASHBACK..

My OH has just started driving this year...tried all the big names and also several comparison sites. Best deal she got was with Direct Line (which was direct with them as not on comparison sites).

Admiral was coming back as the cheapest for me, then I found Bell who are part of the Admiral groupand that was £35 cheaper, taking it from £430 for my renewal with HSBC, to £320 with Admiral, to £285 with Bell. well pleased!

dont put your real phon number into Confused, last time i used them I got about 8 calls in the space of an hour. complete rubbish. I use Gocompare these days or go to the AA.
