Had some work done to a bumper on the car, a while ago, where it needed re=spraying. There seems to be a very thin (even) film of paint on the windscreen which gets highlighted when the sun is low in the sky, making it look like fog.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to whether I could use maybe thinners or something to remove it? Brand suggestions.

Been to the body shop but they say "they wouldn't have done that."

Hi , it will be over spray
Looks Misty ?
Stanley blade will get it off
Hth

stanley blade with a spray bottle of soapy water should take it off

Thinners will get it off in no time.

Thinners or if you haven't try nail polish or flash with a plastic scrubber

0000 wire wool dry works great on glass. If you use a glass scraper then use soap and water and go easy. If blade gets a nick you will scratch glass.

blade will take it off no problems.

if your not comfortable with doing that, intensive tar remover the area, then use a clay bar on it

Thanks everyone. Gonna get a (T-Cut) clay bar kit Sunday and try that. I've looked about and clay bar keeps popping up. Also buying some T-Cut Original spray.

Will let you know if it works or not.

Pretty sure they remove bumpers before respraying so they can cure the paint under heaters. What cowboys did you get it resprayed at.

Depends when I had ours done at the accident repair center they just covered the bonnet and wings and taped over the grill and lights. As time is money it probably depends on what you are paying.

Could be that way, I've only had repairs done on mine so it's been off for repairs. I need to get our rear bumper done as it has a couple of cracks and scrapes. Normally around £150 for a repair and respray.

Have a look at Bilt Hamber they're a British company and their clay bar only needs water to work. They're very good clay bars too.
