Just how bad was it for Spurs, All those chances.

I must admit after the first 5 minutes or so I was thinking United were going to get hammered.

I do feel for Spurs as I quite like them and Harry and would of preferred them in the final.

Same thing happened against Villa and Stoke..... Should have been comfortable winners.

They dont have the killer instinct. Todays game should have been won, but if you cant take your chances and succumb to the sucker punch, thats what happens. I fancied a victory tonight... but when I saw Bale and Bentley were playing, I thought we'd struggle. Dunno why they played a weakened side, bit stupid really.

I'm glad to hear Guv is still alive....I haven't heard from you since Arsenal spanked your spuds. :w00t:

Considering 2 weeks ago after that game, all of a sudden the gooners came out of the woodwork to mock because they had finally gone above us.

Strangely - now its silent. I wonder why?

Oh yes...... cos you keep losing! Hopefully City add to that run tomorrow.

Still the FA Cup, They just want to hope they don't meet United on the way...!!!

They have a very good chance of making the "top 4" this season, However every season they seem to think they'll make it into the "top 4".

The media, make the claims. Realistically this season they do have a reasonable chance, but we need to take the chances when they come. Untied couldn't of complained if they had gone in 2-0, but the score was a reversal of that. Footballs a crazy game.

We might not have won, but they did play well - even if they did lack the belief and fight to get back into the game. That was the only dissapointment.

Except the figures aren't accurate!

Pavy didnt even play, Carrick at £18M was missed off - and Bale at £10M - you're 'aving a laugh.

Bale's transfer fee is based on incentives, presumably cup wins, league positions etc.

Who knows, Spurs might even get a refund:whistling:

Yep, I certainly won't deny that and Spurs were unlucky not to get something out the game.

However United played well enough to win it and Gibson put the balls in.

Bently was very poor.

Spurs will beat other teams, They just can't beat United.

Spurs...lol.

As I said, its happened a few times recently.

Bentley and Bale were poor. - Which was why I mentioned I had my doubts when I saw the teams. The sooner both of those leave, the better.

I was making the point that on paper Spurs should of beat United's "kids".

Theirs been a lot of garbage in the papers recently about United's youngster, Apparently they'll never be future "Stars", Based on their performance against Besiktas. In which I must say the kids played relatively well in that game but didn't take their chances.

For players to be stars they need chances, The Carling Cup is an ideal opportunity to see possible future talent, Not just at United but other teams as well.

How can players make the ranks if they never get their chance?

It's good for the supporters to see young players coming through too. Arsenal do the same, so do Chelsea and Liverpool to a lesser extent.

Spurs put out their strongest team (give or take).

Why the hate buddy? Oh it must be because despite outspending us every year Spurs are still useless and their fans cling on to any shred of superiority for example showing off about being ahead of us in the table despite knowing that if we draw or win our game in hand we go ahead. And I'm not feeling confident about tomorrow night but then again we don;t care about the Carling Cup like Spurs do so we'll be fielding our youngsters while I'm sure Man City, the joke of a club they are, will field their first team in a desperate attempt to win anything this season to justify the ridiculous amount they spent but ultimately they will get knocked out at some point, not like it will matter to the players who are only there because they're getting paid extortionate amounts despite having little talent or class.

And they nearly did!!!! If they had the luck on their side that United did, they would have won and instead you'd have been cussing Ferguson for not fielding a full strength team. This time it worked, but it s only a matter of time the luck runs out. I doubt any team tears United to shreds as consistently as Spurs have in recent games (and fail miserably with the result!) Spurs *always* give you a good game.

PS........ Strangely - it was you I was referring to crowing a couple of weeks back that you'd finally gone above us. Funny that!
