    Carphone Warehouse - Worst customer service ever???

    Like many on here I ordered the iPad 1 on the 26th as part of the half price offer and was disappointed that not only was it actually out of stock but it took them until the day it was supposed to be delivered to cancel the order.

    I got an email on the 1st June (from Matt Stringer, Manging Director) apologising and offering a £25 credit towards my next purchase, I just called to get my unique code to be told that I wasn't on the 'list' for the voucher. Un f**king believable!!! I've never know such poor customer support in all my life. To sell a product they don't have, take 24 hours to cancel the order, offer a discount and then wriggle out of it. Quite amazing.

    To make matters worse I asked if I could speak with a manager/supervisor and was told I had to wait 72 hours. Incredible.

    I'll never go near them again.

    Sounds like a call to trading standard if you ask me!!

    I'd google the CEO and email or call him with how you feel. If the company values any of their customers and has and "code of practice" they will bend over backwards to help their customers!

    i think the point is, cpw were selling the ipad for a stupid amount less than anywhere else has before.

    They got too many orders.

    Now op is angry because he can't get his billy bargain

    well i'd be as pee'd as OP if they refuse me the £25.

    You can't just cancel and order, offer compensation, then refuse the compensation on no grounds except, you're not on the list. Personally i'd ring up again and try a different operator.

    I think its fair to say you have absolutely no idea what I can or cannot afford so maybe you should keep your wild assumptions to yourself.

    I'm angry because,

    1) CPW taking orders and credit card details for products they don't have
    2) Taking 24 hours to cancel the order
    3) Offering and then retracting a voucher
    4) Telling me I have to wait up to 72 hours to speak with a supervisor
