Me personally I would go for hikvision nvr and 4mp ip cameras, as on a 50 inch screen the video looks like a photograph very high quality and price for a couple of camera's and nvr £240, or ebay do some analog one's for more than half that.…3Sc

Depends what your budget is... what visual quality you require... wireless alarm on here at b&q or somewhere for 80 quid, lots of cheap cctv packages on t'ebay, go ip 720p if you can, some wifi ones on there for £115... just need old hard drive!I've had cctv for over 10yrs, started off with basic cameras, then different dvrs, then went to ip cameras (none POE), quaility very good, mostly china stuff

POE 1080P, 2.0MP cameras and 1TB. I have this system installed and at 30ft I can see if the little SH*** has shaved.

Night vision is excellent.…ctv

I use these hikvision cameras "Hikvision DS-2CD2342WD-I 2.8 mm Fixed Lens IR EXIR Turret CCTV Network Camera
by Hikvision" on my desktop pc which runs 247 using BLUE IRIS 4 software on 3tb western digital purple hard drive. This setup has been excellent for me. Hikvision app also is great you can scan the QR scanner for quick setup for when your out and about too, these cameras also hardly ever have cobweb issues either. Hope this helps.

As for alarms: look on Amazon for…1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1489694480&sr=8-2π=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=digiteck+alarm&dpPl=1&dpID=414lOBRmqJL&ref=plSrch

Lloytron Universal Unregulated AC/DC Mains Power Adaptor 300 mA With 6 Plugs

[Updated version] marsboy Orvibo B25 Smart Wifi Plug Home Automation Remote Control Switch Socket for iPhone and Andoid Smartphone

The alarms come on different channels for different areas, the adapters for indoor sounder and the wiwo is just handy to turn on/off via smartphone if needed. This keeps the boundaries guarded whilst sleeping. I live in the sticks by the way and these systems have seen off a all few tresspass attempts in the past. Good luck
