CD/DVD drive for MacBook

So I would love to be able to play DVDs/CDs on my MacBook but it has no USB drives and from what I can see most of them are USB.

Has anyone been able to find one that works with MacBooks? I think it’s USB C ports but I’m not 100% sure.

There are USB 3 drives at Amazon that work with the MacBook. Or buy a standard USB drive and attach a USB to USB 3 adapter.

The new USB connector doesn't affect compatibility with normal USB peripherals, just buy a Type C to Type B cable (or Micro B, or whatever the drive uses) .

Have a look on insight, they all state if they are Mac compatible. Then when you find one check the prices elsewhere.

The Apple version is a SuperDrive and in apple style is well expensive.
