    Center Parcs

Anyone been to Center Parcs? We are going to Sherwood Forest for Easter weekend. Taking my elderly, disabled in-laws and staying in a lodge with maid service. Thing is - what does the maid actually do? (decent answers only, please). Does she make the beds or do the washing up or what? We are hoping for a nice quiet break - there are 6 of us in total - eating, reading, drinking and sleeping.
    Any information will be welcome.

The maids do usually make your beds if i remember rightly and im pretty sure they wash up to, but depending on what type of lodge u r in there should be a dishwaher, which just out of interest what type of lodge r u staying in? I have just come back last week from whinfell and had new style woodland lodge { no maid service, but didnt want it anyway ut there was a dishwasher] i absolutley love cp and im sure u will have a great time, u can make it as busy or relaxing as u like.enjoy it

I would not personally expect anyone, even a maid, to do my washing up for me, but would hope they made the beds and generally cleaned (ie hoovered, emptied the bins, dusted etc).

My OH has stayed for the last 4 years and she said they always stay in the "comfort +" lodges and they all have dishwashers. She has never used the maid service thou

stayed in a serviced accom last year and they just made beds and tidied up, to be honest the place was pretty scruffy so cleaning didnt work that well as carpets were dirty etc. perfectly livable but nothing special for the extremely high cost, we call it open wallet surgery!!!! get ready to see a whole new way to hemorage cash out of your life!!!!!

We are staying in a executive 3 bed Villa - adapted. We needed adapted accommodation for my in-laws and this was all that was available - the maid service is part of the deal and not something we particularly wanted. My husband reckons we'll all have to get up early so the maid can make the beds!!! Whatever - we are looking forward to the break, my in-laws especially as this is only their second "holiday" in 15 years (last year we took them to a cottage in Norfolk for Easter).
Thanks for all your help everyone

I stayed last year at Whinfell and there was a card at the front door (in the window) that you could turn around to tell the maid you didn't require her.

They make the beds, put dishes in dishwasher and generally tidy round. Dont hoover unless it really needs doing (like kids have had food and spilt crumbs everywhere etc).

We stay in executive so get it included but we usually say we dont need them

hi we go there every year and stay in the new lodges we have a maid he/she makes all the beds hoovers and folds the bath towels! they would if you asked wash up we dont i have hubby and the dishwasher for that lol
the hoovering is a bonus oh and they add loo roll if needed
enjoy yourselves only a few months until we go cant wait
