    Center Parcs activity recommendations?

I have just booked a break in June at Center Parcs Elveden for me and my boyfriend.

We have been to Center Parcs three or four times but this time we actually want to do some activities! We usually just end up doing the usual, going swimming, biking, etc so this year we want to try something different. There are so many activities to choose from though, can anyone recommend some good activities to do at Center Parcs?

Not been to elveden, but are regulars (have been for about 12 years) at sherwood and oasis.

I would recommend the action challenge. It is well organised (as is everything at centerparcs!) and is definitely something you will remember! Also good if you have a video camera. I did abseiling and absolutely loved it! Well worth the money. I plan to do some of the other action challenges when we go back.

Yea, I took a look at the Action Challenge stuff but some people said that most of it was "instructions" and there was not much of the actual "activity". Did you find this true?

I abseiled about 5 or 6 times, and would have been more but there was someone who went to the top twice and changed her mind, so spent about 30 minutes with her trying but not managing to do it - would of worked out at about 7 or 8 times I think.

You are also able to have someone there watching, so if one of you wanted to try something and the other didnt you could still watch.

I wouldnt recommend the one (cant find it on the website, but should be in the book) where you try jumping from a high platform on to another - was watching them and nobody managed to do it and only got 2 trys each.

All of the others seemed to have everyone trying a few times and everyone seemed to be really enjoying themselves

I was thinking of going to Longleat and I requested a price list of activities last mth,I've pasted here so least you can get an idea of prices too but the activities will vary from site to site.

High Ropes was good when I did it. I don't mind heights though, might be a different experience if you do!

Thanks, I am not brilliant with heights but I would like to give something like that a go!

    Archery is good...

I'm not good at it, but it was a good laugh.

    I enjoyed archery

Take a sailing boat out on the lake.if not have ago in a pedalo.always good for a laugh

Don't bother with the horse riding!

I agree, dont do horse riding. Not sure what its like at elveden, but sherwood is shocking! We actually complained and got the activity refunded. The place was really grotty, full sheets of fly paper hanging everywhere. The smell was horrible. Not up to centerparcs standards.

I would advise the horse drawn carriage rides though (horses are from a different place) they are really nice going through the woods, and some great photo opportunities.

Find someone who works at CP and marry them, you get most activities free together with mega cheap breaks when available.
