Changing Sky package mid contract - Do I get signed up for 12 months or remainder of contract?

Any changes won't affect the length of your contract.

Lol......retentions offers!! They only give the really good offers to new customers. We left them last year after 7 years because of exactly that reason. They will tell you that you can upgrade to the variety bundle for full price for the remainder of your contract, but if you want a cheaper price they'll expect you to do it for 12 months probably.

Adding packages just adds the £ to your current contract or however long you ask them to out a pack on your account. Your contract will revert to another 12 months if you add telephone, broadband or multi-room.

You haven't been doing it right, you have to play the retention game properly, in the last 9 years I have only been on full price for less than 6 months, never had a 12 month contract until this year last year 75% off, this year as soon as cancelation went in 35% off offer, wait till day of cancel and 50% off with out trying but I had been offered that on webchat, next offer 60% and cash back the level dependant on signing up to 12 months or not, this is what anyone can get just by playing the game. Worth keeping an eye on MSE forum as its possible that offers change all of the time but at least you know what others have been given. Unfortunately I can't tell you the offer I accepted
