Cheap Android phone for tethering?

Hi, hoping for some help. I'm looking for a cheap <£50 Android phone that I can use to tether to. It has to be a phone not a mifi because I'll be using a 3 one plan simply. So any recommendations for a cheap Android 2.2 or higher that will work on 3.

Kind regards
Liam

are you looking for a used one or new

if used there will be people on here who have stuff to sell - and for less than £50 - nay Gingerbread of higher phone will do !

but not sure if you can move this post straight to FS/FT or if you have to wait 7 days before posting a wanted thread

will ask a mod .

or if you want new then just check deal in Deals section - there have been recent sub-£50 android cheap handsets

Huawei Y300.

G300 is terrible for tethering you only have a window of a few seconds to log your devices on to it.

I've been wondering about the sim free LG L3 I think it is on Argos for tethering. Just as a backup for my Globesurfer router.

I have the Y300, tethering works fine on it.

No the Huawei Ascend G300 its terrible! tried using two of them and both were the same. They will only let you connect for a few seconds and then you cant get on without turning the hotspot off and on. One was even flashed with Cyanogenmod and was still the same. Not for tethering!!!!

get the y300, safe option and one of the best budget phones out there
