Cheap (but good) PVR

Hi all,
I'm after a Cheap (but good) PVR, something like a HUMAX PVR9200TB or TVONICS DVR-FP150, the best prices I can find are £154.99 and £139.97 respectivly.

Anyone know of anything cheaper for those or of any other PVR's worth considering?

Cheers

try the topuptv thomson machine for about 80 squid - ignore the TUTV stuff and you get a pretty good, stable machine that can record 2 things at once while watching a 3rd. Also, you can always try the TUTV if you want and since it's got the card slot you can get setanta

I've not heard good things about that box, do you have one?

I've got the humax and it is wonderful - don't consider anything else!
Also records 2 things at the same time & you can pause live TV and rewind the programme you are watching.

i have the top up tv box. It is a good all rounder but it does lock up quite a lot. but if you can live with that, then the price is good. I paid 99 quid.

All my family have the Humax & love it!

Yeah I've heard very good things about that one, any ideas on where's cheapest for them?

I have a ferguson one, but worth paying the extra and getting a humax. It is far better value, and no crashes or trouble.

We recently got a Humax and are very pleased with it so far, easy to setup and use; no problems so far. Only slight niggle is that the TV Guide seems to take ages to fully update when compared to our panasonic DVD recorder and Toshiba TV.
