So after Orange decided to stop me using the 07744 numbers, can anyone suggest a way of calling the USA for cheap? I only need to for around 1 month, so dont want to be tied into a contract or anything. Any help would be appreciated. THanks.

Use onetel on a prefix system, no contract, they only charge you for what you use and it's about 2p per minute.

OK, what about things such as Vonage. I could do with someone explaining what the different options are (and how they work!) I've got BT phone lines and Tiscali broadband if that information helps anyone. Links to stuff would be useful too. Thanks again.

www.skype.com its voice over ip [VOIP] you can topup credit and its fairly cheap 1.4p a minute i think. [You only need a mic and computer] and can ring anywhere in the world.

Try this, 1 pence per minute, no contracts, no credit card etc.

I use it often.

Use standard BT line.

I have been using telediscount for years, no hassle, cheap, no contract or ties.
