    Cheap Car Stereo

Seen various double din touchscreen stereos on eBay for around £26, has anyone purchased one and give a good review on it? or know of anywhere that i can get a decent stereo with bluetooth, mine has packed up on me after 3 years,

    Thanks in advance

I got a Chinese touch screen car stereo. Has no am frequency and the fm is shush shush most of the time with signal drop outs. Nightmare to listen to. It's not good at picking up a radio signal. The touch screen is a pain in the xxx. The sensitivity is not consistent and very difficult to control. I'm constantly changing the fm preset location numbers by accident. It has a card reader which I would never be without now but, the card gets corruption problems so I carry a duplicate second card at all times ready to swap. The bluetooth is good for playing music from phone but the built in mic is rubbish and I can't be heard when I talking on phone via Bluetooth connection. Don't buy a touch screen stereo would be my advice, and get one to with a mic you can mount on the sun visor. Spend £100+ on something better than I have.

got a philips single din headset from a deal posted on here £25 from halfords with dock for ipod bluetooth usb mic for calls rock solid

if you can wait til jan hopefully you can pick up somthing similar in the halfords

how long ago was this deal?? but thanks for the reply fingers crossed!

Avoid the cheap ones (sub £100) they all run an ancient version of Windows CE and are next to useless now.
If your looking at Chinese touchscreen double din ones then you need to spend £100+ (nearer £200 to be honest) to get an android based one. you can then install all the apps etc to make them useable. Think Spotify/TomTom/Google Maps etc..

Pumpkin branded ones on amazon are pretty good.
Also make sure to get one with the most up to date Android version you can afford as they are rarely see any updates so you are stuck on the android version they come with.
