    Cheap Decent Laptop

I am looking for a Laptop. Want at least 1Gb RAM, 80Gb (though prefer 100GB plus) Hard Drive and at least 256MB of Graphics Memory. This is the best one I have seen for the money:

You seem to have found a good deal there..nice spec and a decent price.

After much deliberation and speaking to shopacer direct (con merchants!) think i will go with the following: direct.tesco.com/q/R…spx

Anyone got any advice or codes to get money off (I only have a temporary Clubcard). If not does anyone know any stores in near the West Midlands that have them in stock.

I cannot find it cheaper...and have looked foir cosed at this link but nothingsavacode.com/tes…tml

I'm not sure if Acer are giving Vista updates on all purchases after a certain date..it may be worth checking on the Acer website...the laptop looks a good spec..you should post it as a HOT DEAL.

    this is the acer link

I also see powerplaydirect have 4% quidco cashback which makes the deal even better.

Just noticed what you mean about vista upgrade..it isn't being sold as new so probably doesn't qualify...sorry just didn't read it properly.

Been looking for a laptop myself and have gone for this novatech.co.uk/nov…REM
Don't know if the graphics card is what you are after but I am happy with it and its from a reputable company.

    Nice machine.....I'm impressed!

dont rate graphics card on how much memory it has a 128mb 6600GT will easily outclass it, but thats beside the point.
If you want a laptop for gaming you want realy a minimum of the x1650/7600gs in you'r laptop and no they dont come cheaply.
when buying something for gaming always check benchmarks just google:

Just noticed this … Just noticed this though:http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/misc-systems/novatech/441818/

That review nearly two and a half years old. I posted the novatech laptop on a PC forum for a second opinion as this was the best spec I could find for a Dual Core Processor. I was told that this was a good deal and that Novatech was highly recommended for their support and service. The build quality is pretty sound as well. I placed my order at 3.30 pm and received the laptop at 8.10 am the following morning. My only gripe about the whole transaction is that I had to get out of bed when the bell rang :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:
