Cheap Holidays...

Been looking around for holidays to Cancun, Mexico. About 6 of us are going to go around June/July. We were thinking of doing an all inclusive deal, but I've never used any online holiday packages before so dont know which sites are the best and which ones are reliable. Was wondering if anyone could recommend some. Also do any of you have any past experiences of all inclusive holidays, are they worth it, or would you advise against them and book everything seperate?

I used Thomson Holidays last year, for an all inclusive to Bulgaria. Cheap place to go especially in that they still don't have the Euro there. All incl was the best thing for us as we had 3 kids with us, so they were just able to go to the poolside drinks and food bars whenever they wanted, plus for adults, you could just pull your own draught lager as much as you want. So, depends on your needs, but in certain resorts, All Inclusive can work out better - especially if there isn't much choice of other bars and restaurants around.

I went to the caribbean n that was 5* all inclusive.
    It was absolutely fabulous!!!
Every meal time there was just SO much to choose from, we ended up havin 3 smaller meals every time cos couldn't make our minds up lol.
It takes a bit of gettin used to not payin for drinks n its REALLY horrible when u come home for the 1st time and go out
It was kinda weird (but good) cos they had a little nightclub in the resort n i just went up n asked for a bottle of champagne n they just asked how many glasses did i want lol.

I would say DEFINITELY go all inclusive but check the hotel n reviews out on Tripadvisor before you book anything as the last thing you want is carp food

I booked with Thomas Cook who were fine.

Yea were going for a lads holiday, so no kids, just going to be drinkin all day.... n mite even eat lol :w00t:

Virgin are brilliant to go with. We went to Jamaica in 2005 with them and got married there. We stayed at the Wyndham Rose Hall Resort on an all inclusive basis (our 1st time) which was fabulous, more food than you could ever want and it was all of a really high standard, pool bars were fab and also had great snacks.

The 2nd time we went all inclusive was with first choice to Sri lanka, staying at the Dolphin Club Hotel - this was the only bad holiday that we've ever had!
Most of the people staying at the hotel were ill for the two weeks. Drinks were watered down, the food was terrible, I lived on boiled rice and pineapple for two weeks.
They served snake, yes snake! curry for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and you couldn't get snacks during the day or evening.

This year I looked at trip advisor for hotels with lots of good reviews and have plumped for the vasia beach hotel and spa in crete. I booked with they also gave us a free room upgrade and a free upgrade to ultra all inclusive instead of just inclusive. With ultra all inclusive you get some free spa treatments and a few other extras.
I haggled with the travel company aswell and got the price down to £629 each for two weeks including all flights, transfers, accomodation etc

If you are just after a cheap, lads drink binge holiday have a look on teletext holidays website, they have some very low prices on their and its easy to search through

Do you know approx dates? There is a big difference in price from wk to wk. Were you flying from and how long you going for?

Is Cancun in Mexico the best place to go or are there other places which are as good? Also with anyone who has already been, how expensive is the nightlife in terms of drinks in clubs, cabs etc.
