    Cheap hotel in Birmingham

    Hi folks.
Anone have any suggestions for a decent hotel in B/ham for Jan 23rd & 24th. Going to a show in NEC so would like to be near the train station.
The cheaper the better, don't fancy travelodge - reviews aren't too good.
    Any suggestions greatly appreciated. x

Paragon Hotel - very short taxi ride to the centre/train station. I think it's about £40 a night? stayed there a couple of years ago - it was a bit dead to say the least, but it served a purpose for one night.

    You dog, you :w00t:

I would not recommend the Paragon. Yes fairly cheap but cheap is not always good they did start to do a refurb there 3 years ago but was never finished rooms a small (nearly alway clean) and very old and very cold in the winter time. Maybe wait till start of Jan to see offers

The nite nite hotel is really good, close to broad street (but 1 min walk) and close to arcadian and all of that. i think the price is bout £39 but sometimes have special offers on there website. the rooms are small but you get a really comfy bed, power shower and a 50" plasma tv in your room. worth the money i think

So better for sleeping in than a room with windows and black-out blinds?

There is a new ramada encore hotel just opened up by the NEC and the train station.
It is located in bickenhill industrial estate and looks lovely from the outside and is in the perfect location for you within walking distance.
