    Cheap Laptop

Hi, can anyone point me in the right direction for a cheap laptop? I only will only be using it for general web uses and watching films. I dont want to go over £350. I have been searching online all day but am not very technical and am lost at the moment with all the different processors. Thanks in advance.

It's refurbished, has a slower processor, worse build quality(in my opinion) and smaller hard drive....
    Lenovo's the better choice

have purchased several refurbs off them over the years never had a problem yet, all carry the 12 month warranty, has 4gb ram as opposed to 3, so it just depends on personal preference after all we're only making suggestions to try and help

True but which do you prefer new or refurbished (_;)
Also that extra gb of ram won't make much difference at all as its ddr2 ram compared to ddr3 ram in the lenovo.

obviously with a good enough saving the refurb' as never had a problem with them and as i said before the warranty is the same, and can be extended, saved me a fair few quid over the years with 4 kids all wanting their own

I'm also in the market for a laptop around £400. I'll be looking to dual boot with Ubuntu, having my eye on a few laptops over the past couple of days with a view to purchase before the VAT rise. I'll list below:-
Lenovo Thinkpad - adding 64bit Windows 7, 4GB Memory, Webcam and 6 cell battery =£423.70
    Dell Inspiron 15R
    Novatech i3
    Asus

I've been debating whether to go for the Dell or the Novatech (only install Ubuntu) for the last couple of days, but I've come across the Lenovo and Asus today and I would like some advice on which of these four to buy. I've head great things about the Lenovo. The Novatech comes with no OS, with Dell looking identical, I just don't know which one to go for.

Any help would be much appreciated.
