Just one of many if you use a decent search engine, please I take no responsibility for picking this one out, it has good ratings and a decent price for a standard double. Please research on tripadvisor for reviews.

There was been many a "Help me I'm visiting London" threads over the past few weeks.

There is many a deal to be had, if travelling my train.

will help you, but you may be best to hold off booking until end July/Aug as this is when the best prices will be. In the meantime, if you find a decent price book it, (but make sure you can cancel without any fees!)

have you tried www.tripadvisor.co.uk or www.alphrooms.com. may have to put /london after address but i usually find these good.

I stayed at the Kensington Rooms hotel last week (on Picadilly Line, tube stop Gloucester Road) and it was £89 for a double room with breakfast. Hotel was clean and tidy and staff couldn't do enough for you so I'd recommend there.

I use the 2 for 1 vouchers a lot as I live in London and they have never asked to see a train ticket once so it's worth printing them even if you don't go there by train

Try Travelodge if you are not to worried about standard of hotel, they are cheap and clean and often have good deals for London. Wife and I reccently stayed in the Marylebone one for £49 one night, and have also stayed at Docklands (A bit further out though) for £19.
