Cheap point and shoot camera with a wide angle

Need a cheap point and shoot camera which is better than the Vivitar ViviCam X022 with F=6.8mm F2.8. LG G3 and Samsung S6 phones can fit in about 2 to 4 times as much stuff as the Vivitar, but a mobile isn't ideal for what I want it for. So just something cheap, low megapixel, but something which can fit lots in from only 2-3 metres away.

    Thanks in advance.

The Sony W800 is £69 at Jessops and should be good for what I want. Anyone recommend anything cheaper? The action cams with 120-160 degree might be a good idea. All pictures are going to be inside with florescent lighting, so not sure how good they would be.

    w800 is 26mm equivalent
samsung s6 is 28mm equivalent but is going to be better quality probably than cameras under 100quid
normal compacts dont really have much wider angle - 24/25 is widest i have seen on a regular compact so if need wider then probably an action cam would be a good bet

So the terrible Vivitar being F=6.8mm F2.8 I thought it would have quite a decent field of vision. Think it will probably be the W800.

the 6.8mm is 'actual' but to compare it against other cameras with different sizes of sensor you need to convert it to an 'equivalent'
small sensor needs a small focal length lens to see the same image field of view
so if you want a wide angle on a small sensor you want a really small focal length
tbh i am not sure about the vivitar but doubt it has a bigger sensor than something likethe w800 - if thats the case its lens is around 35-40mm equivalent which is why the s6 sees so much more
