Which brand have you got, Im sure when I purchased my Canon there was a little leaflet saying about cleaning... Send it off to them and they'll strip it all down and clean it.

If you can live without your camera for a week or two then look into that. At least it will be cleaned properly?!

Have you tried cleaning it yourself? Might be worth spending £5 on a rocket blower and brush?!

Some of the photography web sites have pointers to how to clean it yourself and recommend cleaning it yourself. Some people have said cameras can come back 'dirtier' from the professional cleaners and recommend learning to do it yourself to get the best result. Seems it's best to have a variety of methods, particularly a blower, but overall 'wet' pads seem to be the most recommended methods as dry drushes have to be absolutely clean and they don't stay that way.

I've got a Canon EOS 300D. Even though its perfect, i just think it needs a cleaning. On the other hand, thinking of selling it and upgrading, but not sure what i can get for it. I've got the full kit, i.e. 3 batteries, a canon battery grip, polorizer, and a bag. Any ideas what i can fetch for the kit?

I looked at getting my old 350D serviced (cleaned) at a canon authorised repairer last year, was gonna cost £150!! camera isn't worth it. So bought an new one instead

Bought one of those sensor pens and cleaned it meself, must of made a reasonable job of it as it made a difference. Use it as a back up now.

Suppose its different if you have a 5D or something of that level, wouldnt mind spending a bit to service it, but as the 350D is only worth at best £200 as mint it wasn't worth spending the dollar.

I have a piece of dusk stuck on my lens, so I think anyway, I have cleaned the zoom, lens, mirrors and it will not remove! Any ideas?

Is it showing up on photos? Could be on the inside of the eyepiece, which although annoying won't effect your piccys.

What camera is it? The Canon lower range are notorious for it, infact all of the none sealed bodies are.

I have used these before quick turn around time and do it via courier/post...last time it cost about £50 notes for clean up for my canon
