Have a look at a company called interparcel- they're on quidco

I have been using www.p4d.co.uk and have very good experiences with them. From £6.99 plus vat for that parcel you are quoting and you can use a number of different couriers too.

I used them the other day, they used parcel force for me, got a 1st class service.

Interparcel gave me the option of using DHL Home 48 for £6.64 +vat (including 5% discount for having made an account prviously) for an 18kg parcel at 2pm on Monday. I'd missed the deadline for collection for that day (10am) so left it until Tuesday morning.

On tuesday morning the DHL option wasn't available.

So I went with P4D which did have the DHL option. Chose the faster DHL Home 24 for £8.99 +vat.
Booked 09:30. Collected 15:10. Delivered Wednesday 10:57. Tracked on the P4D website.

Checked back with Interparcel on the afternoon and the DHL option was available again. Weird!
