Anyone mind helping me in finding the cheapest Dyson DC25 model please?

The 2 places i've found are Freenet Electrical (£218.99) and Amazon (£219.39)

Perhaps theres ways to bring the costs down via promotion/discount codes that somebody may know?

Cheers for helping guys.

Well found mate.

I will try and find some codes.

Do you think this price is available in-store?

I think these days, electrical stores are desperate for business and I am guessing, haggle and you will get the online price!

You can get it for £199.99 brand new on ebay with free delivery

Another good fin but do you trust Ebay? Even with good ratings, there are some scammy people out there.

I dont mind paying or buying the DC25 Animal if its cheap enough also?

The cheapest ive found for the DC25 Animal is about £240

I would not trust Ebay with a major purchase.
It's not so much scammers but the fact that aside from a few genuine businesses, they buy slight seconds in that they might have a slight cosmetic scratch on them.
I had a quick look for the Animal and it is £240 at Freenet.
Try haggling as Comet, Dixons/Currys are all struggling....

You honestly think them places are open to haggle? They are most likely to fob me off.

Do you think its worth haggling over the phone or in-store?

Yea the cheapest Dyson DC25 Animal is at Freenet.

I think this seems like the top end model and is only £30is more than the DC25 AllFloors.

Seriously considering this Animal - reviews seem to be top class.

Some times i trust ebay other times i don't depends what im buying + i have a good read of the feedback to make my mine up.

Personally slight seconds dont really bother me as long as the item works & come with at least 12 months warranty & with the hover on ebay in question you can register it online & still get a 5 year warranty so if it was me i would prob end up getting it as im as all ways trying to save the £'s

But 1 thing i prob would do is to email the seller & ask them is there any cosmetic damage at all even if its a little bit

I guess I would only really buy the Animal if you have pet hair....
It is always worth haggling. Why don't you post a separate thread for haggling tips.....I thing you should try to haggle at least down to the price you can see online....
I managed to get £33 off my car insurance even when I used all the comparison sites, got the cheapest and haggled a further £33 off when they rang.
For the record, I got my insurance for £162.

It's also worth noting that sellers will use either the post office or a parcel company like TNT/DHL so make sure you're in.
The item on Ebay in question has no box and is ex demo

Damn sounds like a good result mate.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of points did you argue? Surely they have t&c's to save them from mis-pricing on the net right?

with it being a couple of years back, before the rush of these money saving sites, I just went down the road of " but thats what it says here" "I have it in writing" " I dont live local and have travelled all this way" :-D
TBH I think the salesman was just glad to get rid of me! I did buy the extra warranty on it, so that made him happy! But even with the extra warrenty it still didnt take it over the proper price!
I think nowadays they are pretty much covered in the T&C's regarding misprices.
As a vacuum cleaner I cant fault it, but the animal really is no different to the All Floor apart from the mini turbine head, and its not really worth paying the extra for it

Good story pal.

Ok tell me if im wrong here but i think i've found the DC25 All Floors for £212ish.

Just need clarification:

Currys Price Promise

currys.co.uk/mar…ise

Currys Price on DC25

currys.co.uk/mar…id=

ASDA Price on DC25

asda-electricals.co.uk/sho…tml

Total

Get Currys to price match ASDA and then get the extra 10% off. Making the grand total around £212.00 right?

Banned

I'll think you'll find its 'price match' + 10% of the difference, not 10% of the total price. I would only bring it in around £233

Why dont you try asking for a discount to take away today from your local Dixons store. If you say if it was under £200 you would get one now, they may very well allow you staff discount of 10% that should bring it down to under £200. The staff have an allowance of up to 7% that I know off, and the manager is usually up to 15%. But try your luck, you never know, go in with the readies in your pocket though.
